In August, 2000, I began working for SmartForce, an e-Learning company located in Scottsdale, AZ. I was hired to be an e-Learning Developer .. we worked on designing, developing, building, and testing role-play simulations over the internet. I was fortunate to be able to build three simulations before I was laid off in April, 2002. Some of the titles included: Providing exceptional customer service -- this was a soft-skill simulation and it addressed the skills necessary to provide good customer service and develop customer relationships. The second title was "Delegating successfully". This simulation was one that addressed the skills necessary to delegate successfully. The third and final simulation was one that was created with help from Provant, another e-Learning comapny. This simulation was titled "Influencing decision makers". Influencing decision makers was also nominated for the 2002 Brandon Hall awards.
